O Lord our Heavenly Father
I thank you for all your mercies to me and all mankind: for the glory of the earth, the splendour of the sun and the strength of the mountains.
I praise you for the things that are lovely in art and music and in the mind of man, gifts from your own eternal truth and beauty.
But above all, I thank you that you have made us in your own image, redeemed us from death by the life of your blessed son and consecrated us by your holy and life giving spirit, and so, I pray,
Give me grace to so live before you with a true and honest heart that at the end I may have my place in the everlasting life, where with the son and Holy Spirit you live and reign, one God, for ever and ever.
